IEEE Exeter Blockchain Event

November 3-4, 2022
University of Exeter

Two days of presentations, discussions, and tutorials from blockchain and telecommunications technology academics and practitioners.

What is IPv6 and how can 5G systems with IoT devices work with blockchain systems to connect the whole planet securely, privately, transparently and efficiently? Can super-cheap payment systems scale globally? What supply chain and other systems can be enhanced by this? What do we mean by ‘smart contracts’, and can anyone build and use them?
Globally leading researchers and practitioners in telecommunications and blockchain are coming to Exeter to help answer these questions and a lot more. This event also aims to facilitate worldwide harmonization of research and best practices for deployment of the global 5G ecosystem; the built-in security and privacy by design in 5G; and explore different ways of enabling.

Internet protocols including IPv6 over the next generation of devices, as well as the scaling of global blockchain-based payment systems. The IEEE 5G Technical sub-Committee is providing technical support to this event, with nChain, a global leader in blockchain research and development.
