The IEEE 5G Thessaloniki Summit 2020 is part of a successful series of 5G Summits that have been held since 2015 in America, Asia and Europe, and will contribute to continuous provision of a platform for the industry leaders, innovators, and researchers from the industry and academic community to collaborate and exchange ideas in this emerging technology that may help in driving the standards and rapid deployment. Originally the event was planned to be held at the beautiful city of Thessaloniki, Greece. However, due to the pandemic will be organized virtually on Wednesday, December 16, 2020.
The IEEE 5G Thessaloniki Summit 2020 is collocated with the 1st Training on Standards and Standardization(organized by the TeamUp5G H2020 Research Project) and the Winter School on "Emerging Technologies for 5G and Internet of Things". The event is organized in Thessaloniki for the third time (virtual this time) and we hope to repeat previous success in 2018 and 2017.
The IEEE Greece 5G Thessaloniki Summit 2020 is co-organized by the IEEE Communication Greece Chapter, the Communications, Cybersecurity and IoT Research Group (International Hellenic University) and the IEEE Student Branch IHU - Thessaloniki. The event is co-sponsored by IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc), the IEEE ComSoc Outreach Board and the IEEE Future Networks (5G) Initiative .
