Mobile telecommunications networks are one of the critical infrastructures of the digital society in which we live. These networks have a significant impact on our community and enable the creation of new services and applications.
At this time the world is engaged in the development and deployment of the next generation of mobile telecommunications networks, called 5G. The 5G network is born with a vision that goes far beyond providing enhanced broadband but stands as data access for people and services focusing on different verticals such as health, agriculture, entertainment, energy, mobility, homes, factories, and cities.
As a driver for a new wave of the digital economy with a profound impact on our society, 5G poses challenges related to the research, development, and deployment
The 5G ecosystem will involve not only government, telecommunication service providers and network technology providers, but it goes far beyond to include academia, entities from different verticals, solution developers and services in both software and hardware.
The IEEE 5G Summit São Paulo is part of a successful series of 5G Summits that have been held since 2015 in Americas, Asia, and Europe. The IEEE 5G Summit São Paulo aims to put together industry leaders, innovators, and researchers from the industry and academic community to collaborate and exchange ideas about 5G, making a connection with initiatives inside and outside Brazil.
The Summit will take place inside FUTURECOM 2019, and both will happen in the same venue.
The IEEE 5G Brazil Summit is co-organized by Algar Telecom, the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), the Institute of Telecommunications, the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communication and Nokia. The IEEE 5G Summit São Paulo is co-sponsored by IEEE Communications Society and the IEEE 5G Initiative.
The IEEE 5G Summit São Paulo will be held in the São Paulo Expo Exhibition and Convention Center in São Paulo, Brazil.
