About

The metaverse is a spectrum of digitally enhanced worlds and virtual realities. It will revolutionize nearly all aspects of life and business in the next decade, allowing collaboration in virtual spaces, augmented physical places and a blend of both. It will create new lines of business and transform interactions between customers and companies. In this half day Metaverse seminar, the IEEE COMSOC Northern Virginia and Washington DC chapters will host metaverse seminar titled “Creating the Extended Reality of the Future with Artificial Intelligence and Computational Design” by Professor Craig Yu from George Mason University Design Computing and Extended Reality (DCXR) research group. Dr. Yu will discuss about recent advances by GMU research group in using artificial intelligence and computational design approaches to devise novel user experiences, content-creation tools, and user interfaces for envisioning the XR of the future.

This seminar is hosted by T-Mobile Advanced and Emerging Technologies and is sponsored by IEEE Communications Society Northern Virginia and Washington DC chapters, Northern Virginia/Washington DC Computer Society, Northern Virginia and Washington DC IEEE sections.
