Heinz Bernold is a Partner & Director at Boston Consulting Group (BCG). He is a core member of BCG's Technology, Media and Telecommunication practice area and advises telecommunications & technology firms and investors on digital infrastructure, AI & digital@network, and digital business strategy. He leads the 5G and 6G topics for BCG worldwide. Heinz has over twenty years of combined industry and management consulting experience in technology, media, and telecommunications. Before re-joining BCG, Heinz worked at Swisscom as Head of Strategy & Innovation, responsible for Network, IT & Wholesale business.

Dr. Eusebiu Catana is Senior Consultant for the EU &public funding, ALICE vice-chairman for Physical Internet, member of the DTLF steering committee, founder of the FENIX2.0 cross-border data sharing association and the chairman of the ISO/TC 204 sWG 17.2 on Nomadic Devices in ITS Systems. He holds a PHD in Vehicle Telematics, Master Degrees in Engineering, Operations Research and post graduate master in Industrial Management as well as Project Management Professional (PMP)® and CISA certifications. Before joining ERTICO in March 2017 as Senior Consultant for Innovation and advisor to the Chief Executive Officer, he has previously worked as a Technical Consultant in R&D for about 25 years at top technology companies in both Europe and the USA In 2002 in Munich he was awarded with the “best award for ITS project development platform” from the IT industry. In 2023 he was awarded in Brussels with the “Innovative Award” 2023 for the innovation in transport and logistics from the transport industry and with the “ICTStand 2023 award” for contribution to standards development from the European Commission. Dr. Catana, along with his team, was also successful in securing more than 20 projects (totalling over 320 million Euros) in the last years in the fields of 5G, B5G, IoT, and Edge-related projects.

Mohamed Essaaidi (Senior Member, IEEE) is the General Manager of the Moroccan School of Engineering Sciences (EMSI) Group, General Manager (Since January 2023), Chief of Party of Interactive Digital Center Morocco (Morocco’s XR training and innovation center, since November 2020) and a Professor and Past Dean of ENSIAS School of Computer Science of Mohammed V University, Rabat, Morocco (2011–2019), Past Director of International Cooperation at the Ministry of General Affairs & amp; Governance, Morocco (2019), and past faculty member Science of Abdelmalek Essaadi University, Tetuan, Morocco (1993–2011). He is the founder and past Chairperson of the IEEE Morocco section (2005–2016), co-founder and chair of several IEEE OU in Morocco during the last two decades, including, IEEE ComSoc / Computer Society Morocco Chapter / IEEE Education Society Morocco Chapter / IEEE AP-S/MTT-S Morocco Chapter. He is IEEE IoT Global Cities Alliance, MEA Chairperson (2021–2022), IEEE Humanitarian Technologies Programs Committee Chair and IEEE Special Interest Group on Humanitarian Activities (SIGHT), Global Chair (since January 2023), IEEE EAB Teaching Excellence Editorial Hub, Member (2021–2022), and IEEE Public Safety Technology, Education Chair (2022). Dr. Nidal Nasser, SMIEEE, is a distinguished academic and researcher in the field of wireless communication networks and systems. He holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees with Honors in Computer Engineering from Kuwait University and a Ph.D. from Queen’s University in Canada. Currently, he is a Professor of Software Engineering at Alfaisal University in Saudi Arabia, where he also served as the Dean of the College of Engineering from 2014 to 2017. Dr. Nasser's research contributions are widely recognized, with over 190 journal publications, conference papers, and book chapters to his name. He has received numerous awards, including the Best Research Paper Award at various international conferences, the Faculty Award for Research Excellence at Alfaisal University, and multiple awards from IBM for his expertise in mobile applications, big data, IoT, artificial intelligence, and blockchain development. Dr. Nasser has also been appointed as an associate editor for prestigious journals, including IEEE Transactions on Network and Service Management, Wiley's International Journal on Communications Systems, and Frontiers in Communications and Networks Journal. He has served in various leadership roles at international IEEE conferences and workshops, and is a member of several technical committees within the IEEE Communications Society. In addition, he has been recognized by Stanford University as one of the "World's Top 2% Scientists" for his significant contributions in the field of networking. Dr. Nasser has also served as the IEEE ComSoc Distinguished Lecturer for the 2023-2024 class, further showcasing his expertise and impact in the field. His extensive knowledge, research excellence, and leadership make him a prominent figure in the field of wireless communication networks and systems.

Biography

I joined the University of Leeds as University Academic Fellow (Assistant Professor for US folks) under the 250 Great Mind Initiative. My research interests are in the area of Communication and Networking for IoT, Robotics and Autonomous Systems. Previously I worked on the US Army Research Lab (ARL) funded project: `Cognitive Green Wireless Communication- A Network Science Perspective’. I received my B.Eng degree in information and communication system engineering from the School of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, NUST, Pakistan in 2008. I was awarded the NUST’s most prestigious Rector’s gold medal for my final year project on Analysis of Forward Error Correction Schemes over Wireless Channels with Memory under the supervision of Dr Syed Ali Khayam. From September 2007 till August 2008, I served as a Research Assistant in Wireless Sensor Network Lab on a collaborative research project between NUST, Pakistan and Ajou University, South Korea. In 2008, I was awarded an overseas research student (ORS) scholarship along with Tetley Lupton and Excellence Scholarships to pursue my PhD at the School of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, University of Leeds, U.K. I was also awarded COST IC0902, DAAD and Royal Academy of Engineering grants to promote my research. I was a visiting research scientist at Qatar Innovations and Mobility Center from October to December 2013. I have served as an invited reviewer for IEEE flagship journals and conferences. Over the past few years, I have served as TPC Member for IEEE WCNC, IEEE VTC, IEEE Globecom, IEEE ICC. My research is focused on design analysis and implementation of large scale ad-hoc wireless networks by employing tools from stochastic geometry and random graph theory. I am also an embedded system and programming enthusiast with several international certifications from Microsoft, IBM and Sun Microsystems.

Biography
Essaid Sabir (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree and the M.Sc. degree in ECE from Mohammed V University of Rabat in 2004 and 2007 respectively, and the Ph.D. degree (Hons.) in networking and computer engineering from Avignon University, France, in 2010. He was a lecturer and then an Assistant Professor at Avignon University, from 2009 to 2012. Then, he held a full Professor position at Hassan II University of Casablanca until late 2022. Next, he joined the Department of Computer Science, Université du Québec à Montréal as a professor until January 2026. Currently, he is a professor at the Department of Science and Technology at TÉLUQ, University of Quebec. He is/was the main investigator of many research projects and has been involved in several other (inter)national projects. His research interests include 5G/6G, IoT, ubiquitous networking, AI/ML, and networking games. His work has been awarded in many international venues. To bridge the gap between academia and industry, he founded the International Conference on Ubiquitous Networking (UNet) and co-founded the WINCOM conference series. He serves as an associate/guest editor for many journals. He organized numerous events and played executive roles for many major venues.

Mohamed Elkamili [SM] received the B.Sc. degree in applied mathematics (statistics) in 1998, the Diplôme d’Études Supérieures Approfondies (D.E.S.A.) degree in numerical analysis, optimization, and operations research in 2000, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science and operations research in 2005, all from Mohammed V University, Rabat, Morocco. He is currently a full-time Professor of applied mathematics with the Computer Engineering Department, Higher School of Technology (EST), Hassan II University of Casablanca, Morocco. He is a permanent member of the research team ``Big Data and Internet of Skills (BDIoS)'' within ``Computer Science and Smart Systems (C3S)''. He has co-authored many journal articles, book chapters, and conference publications. His current research interests include networking games; design and evaluation of communication protocols for wireless networks (including wireless MAC protocols); intelligent wireless networks and learning algorithms; cognitive radio and delay-tolerant networks; the IoT, ICN, and D2D communications. From January 2017 to March 2020, he served on the IEEE Morocco Section Committee. He was Local Chair of the 4th edition of WINCOM (Fez, Morocco, October 2016) and Vice-General Chair of the 7th edition of WINCOM (October–November 2019), and has also served as Conference Coordinator. He is a regular reviewer for professional publications and international venues, including \emph{IEEE Network}, \emph{Computer Communications (ComCom)}, IEEE ICC, IEEE GLOBECOM, IEEE IWCMC, IEEE WCNC, and ADHOCNET.
